| MIRAJ Audiobooks is a new UK-based publishing company specialising in Islamic spoken word stories for children aged 5 to 12. We are looking for talented newcomers able to write for the ear. You must be able to write simple, evocative English and portray character through dialogue. We are particularly interested in the following: re-imagined stories about Prophets (excluding Jonah and Noah) and about the life and teaching of Prophet Muhammad. Also, stories about great Muslim heroes, scientists and travelers. We may also be expanding into historical fiction. If you are interested in joining the Miraj team of writers please submit a story for consideration. It should be between 2500 and 5000 words and accompanied by a brief (three paras max) and covering letter with your contact details.
